Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our flooring installation and refinishing services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Tinsley's Carpet Service for flooring installation, refinishing, or related services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Service Description

Tinsley's Carpet Service provides professional flooring installation, refinishing, repair, and maintenance services for residential and commercial properties throughout Middle Tennessee. Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Carpet installation and replacement
  • Hardwood floor refinishing and installation
  • Luxury vinyl plank and laminate installation
  • Tile and grout services
  • Floor repair and maintenance
  • Consultation and estimation services

3. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate property information and measurements
  • Clearing work areas of furniture and personal items
  • Ensuring adequate access to the work site
  • Providing electrical power and adequate lighting when required
  • Prompt payment according to agreed terms
  • Notifying us of any special requirements or constraints before work begins

4. Pricing and Payment Terms

All pricing is provided in written estimates and is valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Payment terms are as follows:

  • 50% deposit required upon acceptance of estimate
  • Final payment due upon completion of work
  • Accepted payment methods: cash, check, and major credit cards
  • Additional charges may apply for work scope changes or unexpected conditions

5. Scheduling and Cancellation

We make every effort to honor scheduled appointment times. Customers must provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellation fees may apply for same-day cancellations or no-shows.

6. Warranty and Guarantees

We stand behind our workmanship with the following warranties:

  • Installation workmanship: 1 year from completion date
  • Material warranties vary by manufacturer and product type
  • Warranty does not cover damage due to abuse, neglect, or natural wear
  • Claims must be made in writing within the warranty period

7. Limitation of Liability

Tinsley's Carpet Service's liability is limited to the cost of the specific service provided. We are not responsible for:

  • Damage to items not properly removed from work areas
  • Pre-existing subfloor or structural issues
  • Damage due to flooding, fire, or other natural disasters
  • Wear and tear from normal use

8. Insurance and Authorization

We maintain comprehensive general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. We are authorized to operate in the State of Tennessee and comply with all local building codes and regulations.

9. Change Orders

Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be approved in writing and may result in additional charges. Customers will be notified of any changes before additional work begins.

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, or supply chain disruptions.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from our services will first be addressed through direct communication between the parties. If unresolved, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Tennessee law.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any legal proceedings will be conducted in Overton County, Tennessee.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Customers will be notified of any material changes. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
